DEFINITION OF PESTICIDE

A systemic fungicide with protective, curative, and eradicative effects, quickly absorbed into the vegetative parts of the plant with primarily upward translocation from the triazole group with dual efficacy to control fungal diseases and protect crops from them, such as fusarium, rust, septeria, powdery mildew, rhinosporium and helminthosporium, on field crops, vegetables and fruit trees. It is considered the most effective compared to other pesticides from the same triazole group.

Mechanism of Action

Systemic with protective, curative and eradicant action. Disrupts membrane function. Sterol biosynthesis inhibitor.

 

Biochemistry Mechanism

Sterol demethylation (1) (ergosterol (2) biosynthesis) inhibitor.

  • Target Enzyme: Sterol demethylation inhibitors target the enzyme lanosterol 14α-demethylase (CYP51).
  • Inhibition: These drugs bind to the enzyme, preventing it from catalyzing the removal of the 14α-methyl group from lanosterol.
  • Accumulation of Precursors: This inhibition leads to the accumulation of toxic sterol precursors, such as 14α-methylfecosterol and 14α-methylsterol.
  • Membrane Disruption: The accumulation of these precursors disrupts the fungal cell membrane, leading to cell death and then death fungi.
(2) Ergosterol, a sterol found in fungal cell membranes, is crucial for maintaining cell membrane integrity and function

A 12-hour re-entry interval is required for the treated area. Entry is restricted to authorized technicians in case of an emergency. All personnel must be fully equipped with protective gear, including an apron, boots, hat, gloves, and mask, before entering and coming into contact with treated plants or soil
